Thankyou! This is what I love about this technique. :-D I like this fabric but OBW can even convert an ugly fabric into something beautiful. :lol:

It's not difficult but quite complex to explain - basically the blocks are an octogan made up of 8 trianglular segments then a square is created by 4 setting triangles that form a square kaleidoscope...

Do you mean are the border blocks the same size as the setting squares? If so, yes they are, they're just left overs from the main body of the quilt. :-D

K, FYI I also made this same fabric into a hexagon OBW so you can compare and contrast......

Thank so much- the squares in the bodrer was using up leftovers from the setting blocks but I like the way it turned...
