You can use the paintbrush and after you click on the paintbrush you can use the eyedropper to change colors too. It picks up a color in your block and then you can change other areas of your block...

It is telling you you need to click on layout 1....

It is telling you you need to click on layout 1. Layout 1 is your base layout. You have to be in layout 1 to set the blocks and work on them. The language they use is not real plain. I don't know...
