Somehow that intrigues me!
Have you ever looked into just a smooth-bottomed presser foot? That would at least negate the walking motion....... it would still be 'hopping' but not walking. ...

I need a front slide plate for a Singer VS2 - but - how in the world would we figure out size-wise what we'd need?
My VS is a fiddle base...
