I wonder if the Sewmor 606 did one of those...
I wonder if the Sewmor 606 did one of those things like the Singer 201. Started out as a heavy old style black machine then changed to a lighter squared off aluminum design with the same number.

Relics says they have a manual for the Sewmor 606. But the machine they picture doesn't match yours.

On colored machines like that I use either: sewing machine oil with a soft cloth or cotton balls, or baby oil with soft cloths or cotton balls. ...

That's a neat machine. I like the ones with all the knobs and levers. I wish I had a source for a manual but I don't.
I'm not sure that one uses cams. I don't see a trap door...
