    I'm thinking of using the same spray contact glue as I did for the fabric, but only spray one side. I haven't done it yet, but I'll get there.

    You are soooooo right about the machines bouncing around inside the cases. But even having the machine well packed didn't help this one. I think the bottom was in bad shape before...
