Same here. Having pets all my life I've cleaned a lot of lint, fur, and dust bunnies out of refrigerators.

That is how I figured it would come apart. I didn't try it because I wasn't sure about that plastic ... yuck ... hand wheel. I cleaned it as good as I could...

If it's the same "click" my wife's 930 makes it's when the machine raises the needle bar. It does that every time you stop sewing. To lower the bar just press on the heal end of the foot...

I know this is going to sound like blasphemy but the Bernina Record 930 has way too many plastic gears in it. 4 at least, that I can see. Plus the hand wheel and it's parts are plastic. Yuck....
