How tall are you? I am not trying to get personal, but if you have a greater than 32" inseam, you will have trouble sitting and pushing the foot controller comfortably on this one...

Hey BoJangles,

Try sewing with no thread until you learn the foot pedal coordination.

Keep your presser foot up with no cloth for a few minutes until your feet/foot gets a feel for the treadle....
