As much as I love pinwheels, I think it's perfect without them. They are not adding anything to the quilt's look.

My best advice is secretly take a quilting course. That way you get help from experts.

I simply make mine on Microsoft Office. You can copy a fabric with your camera, or put in a color. I put copier fabric in my printer and hit "print". Good to go.
