Billy, How very interesting to see. Glad you posted this little bit of history! Did you notice what looks like a perfect lock stitch in the limestone (?) above the door, second picture in the row with the word "images". And the emblems and badges and now I don't wonder where all the fancy decoration on the face plates, etc., came from, or vice-versa.

There are a few of the decal patterns in the carvings if you look close enough. And yes that is stitching in the limestone!!

I would love to buy one of those Singer placards if I could even find one. And yes there would be no limit on what I would spend to get one.
