Leota don't be silly. Look at your center - with lace insets? You will really put my French Sewing to the test, but I am developing a plan and collecting some of the kinds of things to add to your quilt. Oh goodness, I have it for Round 6.
All you newbees, you will learn a lot by participating in this activity. Last year one of the quilt tops just needed beading or it wouldn't be right. You got it. It took me 2 weeks working almost 8 hours a day, but when I was finished it was a 3 inch border completely beaded in 3-5 bead clusters in yellow, pink or purple. I had never done bead work before and each of those tiny flowers is 3-5 beads. The butterflies are applique' and then beaded.
Last year I used buttons, pearls, beads made of coral and jade and amythist on blueribbontoe's center. Many of the things I did are in my journal.
I was new last year, made mistakes and redid things several times, but I really learned a great deal.
