I've had alot of fun reading the post and enjoying seeing what and how others celebrate. I have an exchange student from Austria so I've been trying to do our traditions mixed with theirs. I think they celebrate about like the Germans. They speak German anyways. She is suppose to get recipes for dinner and for baking but she's been busy and hasn't gotten them yet. I know they bake alot of cookies but I'm not sure which kind. If someone some Germany could help me out that would be great. She is vegetarian so instead of meat on Thanksgiving we did a squash filled with dressing. I still did a Turkey for us. I'm going to do a ham for Christmas but wondering what else they have as a tradition at home.
I would like to suprise her with a German dish.
Merry Christmas everyone.
