Difficult to explain. It is sort of like short pile fleece. Very textural and soft. Came in 60" width and can be expensive ($16/yard). However, I participated in a LQS scavenger hunt. The prize was 10 yards of fabric at each quilt shop for half price. When I claimed my prize at one quilt shop I purchased the Minkee fabric at half price so $8/yd. Minkee cam come in smooth and textures. If you google it on-line you can probably find pictures of the different textures.
