I have a template that has a couple of small feather wreaths on it and all I did was pin the fabric, batting and some thing for the backing and then put the template on the fabric and used a pounce to put the pattern on the fabric. The powder from the pounce will stay put until you press it off with the iron or a damp cloth. Then you put a darning type of foot on your machine and either drop or cover the feed dogs and then you just move the fabric around slowly letting the machine follow the pattern lines. but the template is removed as you will have to line there to follow. That's it but if you move too fast you will have some thread breaks and possably some needle breaks so move slowly and it will turn out nice, but it does take a lot of practice and I do that before I start any project. Well have a great night, Huggies, Fay
