For those that cut themselves with the rotary cutter, try using the Fons & Porter's Klutz Glove. I got one after getting a small cut. My husband purchased it after watching one of the shows with me. It is a cut-resistant glove that will help protect that non-cutting hand from possible cuts. Only works if you remember to put the dang thing on. :)
