I like having all the options that gives me. Here is my first block. I used Cherrywood fabrics instead of batiks - a lot more subtle coloration, but I'm happy with it.

Beautiful block, I'm glad you used your own idea on fabric, looks real nice. Eq makes it easier, when you print you can get the mirror image for tracing.
I'll have to do that, then. I don't have a problem with my block coming out reversed, but that's a good thing to know for future.
