I didn't find any kerosene in the house when I was going to clean an old machine, but got to thinking that I had lamp oil, so I looked it up on line, and it is refined kerosene. I tried it carefully on one spot and it loosened up the old dried oil, so I did the rest of the parts with it! Saved me a trip to town!. I have the lamp oil for a lantern in case the power goes out.
