You NEVER NEVER NEVER give a Veteran a quilt that looks like a flag. For to many of these guys that have been wounded they suffer from PTSD! I know my husband is one of them and being given even a quilt to lay over them reminds them of being in a coffin draped with a flag! Which causes MAJOR setback in recovery from this horrible disorder.
Moda should have a little tack and realize this or at least ask questions first.

I have to say, this concerned me when I read it. I also didn't want to cause anyone, especially ones who have served our country so selflessly, pain or discomfort. So I called my great uncle who served in two wars and was wounded in battle if this type of quilt would bother him. We had a wonderful discussion on the topic and he assured me it would cause him personally no problems, in fact, he would be proud and honored by not only the quilt and its design, but also the generosity and greatfulness of those giving of their time and talents. He went so far as to call some of his buddies and "poll" them as well and all felt as he did. So I guess for me, I'm satisfied that many will appreciate the gesture and the love, time, talent and heartfelt gratitude behind each and every one of these quilts.
