Always for fun, however, early on I sold some to supplement cost of raising four sons, making mortgage, gifts for family members, charity auctions, etc. In my "old age" (73), my doctor has encouraged me to continue quilting and researching our family genealogy to exercise my brain and stave off the effects of alzheimer's. He calls quilting my brain cleanser - Don'cha just love it, I now have a valid medical excuse to quilt and buy fabric. Sons no longer ask me "Mom, where are you going to put more fabric?" LOL
