As soon as I saw jwatmough's gorgeous folded dahlia pillow (here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-125925-1.htm) I knew I had to try one myself. Then I found dungeonquilter's tutorial (here: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-116058-1.htm) and trying it moved to the top of my list of things to do.

This weekend, the stars aligned-Hubby and the boys were fishing, and I had a fresh stack of FQ's from a shopping expedition on Saturday. This is what I came up with. I plan on making a pillow out of it, for my end of the couch. Maybe I'll get ambitious and make it an octagonal pillow; I haven't decided yet. I still need to tack the insides of the points down, but overall I'm pretty pleased. Also, I'm glad I got hooked on origami when we were living in Japan; I had no trouble at all with the folds.
