In my last sewing room, I had carpet and I liked it fine. My only problem was that I had to spend lots of time cutting threads from the roller of my vacuum cleaner. Now I have a sewing room with wood floors. I think I like the wood best; but I sometimes drop my scissors and have had them make dents in my flooring which is not good for the floor; but I suspect it is even worse for the points of my scissors.
