I used to have to order them from Nancy or Clotilde, but now Joann's carries them; I bought a box of Dritz (only 1-3/8", but long enough for me) there last week when all notions were half-price. I always use the long glass-head silk pins, but they also had packs of "quilt" pins. I can't remember if they are as long, but they are thicker, so might stay in the fabric a little better than the silk pins. (I am always losing/finding pins on the floor.)
