The Roxanne thimble changed all of that. There was a booth at a quilt show with a certified Roxanne "fitter" when I got mine, but there are fitting instructions on the web site.
I bought my Roxanne 3 years ago and also love it. As you said. it was fitted and it feels so good I forget to take it off when I hand quilting :D
