And with fake silk and with other decorator fabrics.

A friend gave me a couple of dozen fabric sample books, which she in turn got from a retiring interior decorator. Some of them are wonderful embroidered silk!

The useable pieces are small, after you cut off the glued on cardboard, etc., but since I make mostly minis, I'm doing OK with small pieces.

Here are the first three I've made.

This one is made with 'faux duponi' samples (100% polyester). I used the back side of the fabric, as it is shinier.

This one is real silk, embroidered. Great fabric, very tightly woven, very little raveling.

This is all polyester! The center is 'faux duponi', right side up this time. The outer fabrics are more like upholstery fabric.
