It is surprising how many don't use a walking foot. I have used one every sense I bought a sewing machine and that is a lot of years ago. to me the walking foot feeds the fabric on bottom at the same as the top, and if one side is a little fuller, put it on the bottom and the walking foot well work it as the same as the top, no puckers, smooth top and bottom.
