I am dying to sew on it, figueratively, but do not want to die to sew on it. The cord from the motor to the cabinet is two bare wires with shreds of black covering. When I replace that cord (the light cord looks okay), do I need to save the plug? It is not polarized like modern plugs. Will the cabinet accept a new polarized plug? I do not want to do this, I hate working with electricity, but I have to do it, so I want to do it right.
