This was a real punch in the face for me... When asked by a member why she got a message saying "Thread is Closed" (aka locked) when she tried to post to another thread about problems with the new format, a moderator replied "A thread is closed if a Moderator feels the topic is not going in a direction beneficial to the QB membership."
