Your lucky to be able to redo your room! My sewing room has yucky green 70's wallpaper and my room with my longarm is off white walls. I do know I would not want to paint the room where my long arm is as the bright walls sure helps with the natural light in matching threads and when I am in my others rooms which are tans, green, and rusts it makes it harder to match thread at times. If I ever do get the chance to redo my rooms but that means stripping layers at least 10 I can see of wallpaper I would paint is a silver grey with lavender undertones and use an overlayer like an shiny iridescence clearcoat. My parents used this in many rooms in their house on the bottom half under the wall paper and the way the light reflects is so pretty.
