The "teacher" needs to write on her report card: "Does not play well with others!" Even if there is some very good reason why she should have dibbies on this chair, the way for her to handle the situation is on a face-to-face basis, with polite explanation and request, as well as a solution to the problem that you, also, need a chair, and presumably the job description did not specify that you bring one with you.
