When I taught at a parochial school things "disappeared" so often (usually after Sunday services) that we tried locking up our chairs, desks, etc. Small things we took home, especially files, but larger objects that were hard to move stayed........ sometimes. So we really sympathize with the employee. Maybe she has past experiences like this.
