If you have time & a car, Lancaster, PA is about 2 1/2 hours north of Washington, DC and quilter's heaven. Lots of quilt shops with great prices and beautiful countryside. I live in the Washington DC area but do most of my fabric shopping in Lancaster. Here's a couple of info links
