We did a kitchen remodel a couple years ago. We settled on a stainless steel sink mainly because the sales person said the cast iron sinks are not made as good today as in the 'olden' days and would should wear really quickly. So far I have been happy with my stainless sink. I didn't know you could get a granite sink, but the granite counter top does need sealing a couple times a year.
