Thanks. The bobbin winder is on the cabinet in the front right corner. I'm hoping that putting the belt in the right place will help. It was so weird to see the belt smoking.... ....white smoke just billowing up from under the machine. Of course, those machines have an awesome amount of power and speed. I'm also wondering if having the belt too tight would make it smoke. When it was looser it wasn't turning the wheel.

This is my first "tune-up/repair" that I'm doing for someone else. I put an ad in the paper and this elderly woman called because she had been searching for over a year to have someone come out and repair her machine. Leave it to me to have my first repair be a machine that I've never seen before and can't find much info about it on the internet...
