Default Choosing quilting as a career seems to be the way to go.

One quilt instructor for Crafty quilt class posted that she had over 7000 people sign up for her class so far. Her class is $19.99. (very reasonable for a quilt class that I usually pay much more when a teacher comes to our guild). Say the instructor gets 30%. Not bad for a few hour class even at 20%. One day I was bored and added up several well known quilter instructors days on their online calendars for workshops and lectures scheduled for the year. It's one big income! I'm not complaining, they earn it by traveling and putting up with all kinds of people all the time. Just interesting to know the money most well known quilt instructors make. No kids at home and a DH that can take care of himself, being a good quilt speaker, loves people, teach a decent workshop and you have the makings of a fun and lucrative career
