AS you ask, I think two borders or three,#1 - I think a flange or tiny 1/4" to 1/2" to enclose the quilt, probably black, would lend itself to soft framing as the design and color combinations present as bold, softer so the eye is drawn to the quilt itself then - still use two colors, narrow and wider, pick your favorites like the blues and lavenders, whatever YOUR favorites are.
