Congratulations on finishing your quilt in time for the quilt show. We all procrastinate from time to time, even when we plan not to. I remember one year trying to machine quilt one of my entries into a quilt show and my machine decided to go bonkers on me - tension totally messed up, not stitching right, etc. Well, took her back to where I bought my machine - he told me the machine was fine - just not meant for the amount of quilting that I do. I had told him this when I bought the machine. In the end he gave me what I had paid for my machine and applied it onto a Janome 4000, after some sticker shock. Knock on wood, that machine is still going strong and I love it. I'm sure your quilt got rave reviews from the judges. Having it judged can be a little intimidating, but in the end you get lots of constructive, not destructive comments and your quilting will improve.
