I use the "DoSew" which you can order from them (Eugene, OR) or from Nancy's Notions and like you say, the patterns are good forever. And for tracing doll faces and stuff I have used the packing paper, and if it is a template I will use again and again, I have used fusible interfacing and traced it and then ironed it onto posterboard (2 sheets/$1 at Dollar store) makes it easy to trace around, and if it is something I only need to trace once for something, have used the gift wrapping tissue from Dollar store (40 sheets/$1 package) Depends on what I am doing. :-) I have also used the fusible interfacing as above and ironed it to good paper towels - makes a soft pliable almost fabric-like to put back in the pattern envelope. (I love to play with ideas, can you tell?) :-) Its what keeps life fun!!
