No Y seams in the pattern. The magazine it's in rates it "intermediate", but I consider myself a skilled beginner. I've made over 100 quilts, but most are easy patterns. I was very careful to keep all the points and I think I managed that with just a little bit of un-sewing. You make 4 identical huge blocks and sew them together. If you're comfortable matching your seams you won't have trouble with this.
