no, it is not needle turn- they are machine appliqued and machine quilted (also, recipient's request) she figured machine would be (faster) and cost less--true on both accounts. she had first seen pictures of my wool backyard gathering quilt which was hand appliqued- loved it but wanted something in cottons, done by machine and she wanted 2 which were similar to each other- same fabrics * turkey red, olive green, gold and white* , simplified- not as (involved) as the wool one had been- so these are what I came up with.
they are heading her way today.
