Thanks Dotty. Not truly sure of what stuffing the "usual way" is, but I did find a method using toile behind the design, stuffing in wadding and then putting regular batting and backing on before quilting. Seems it might work!

I did it by hand and used a back stitch instead of machining , and the stuffed usual way. It worked but sorry no picture .
