The reason I started to quilt was to make a Lone Star that I had seen at an Amish quilt sale. It sold for $1800.00 and I knew I would never have one unless I made it. I took a class that was offered at my LQS and loved making it myself. I would start by showing him pictures and seeing what comes close to what he remembers.
