I got a tablet of tracing paper and used it that way. My designs were little animals for a baby quilt...a rabbit and a kitten. traced the designs on a sheet of 8x11 paper then put the tracing paper in the printer and printed off several sheets....used a glue stick to hold them to the quilt blocks. Since they were for the indiv blocks I didn't need the long strips. Did get some GT paper but haven't tried it yet. That gecko is gorgeous, Feline Fanatic! Wouldn't have thought of doing just the outline and then filling it in freehand. Will have to try that!!
