I went to a quilting weekend, when I had only just started quilting. I went to learn. There were 8 people including myself, and all the others were with friends. I was the only one alone. I can assure you, we all helped each other, everyone was so friendly. I now go on cruises alone, and again always find people so willing to talk and be friendly. And there is always quiet places where you can sit and be quiet by yourself, if you want it.
