Does anyone have a recipe for mac & cheese in the crockpot, But I want to put DRY macaroni in. Don't understand why it has to be cooked first. Why can't you just add more liquid? Hope someone has an answer. Thanks.
I made this for Thanksfiving & turned out great:
3 cups fat free milk
10 oz cheese (slices, velveta, combo - whatever)
8 oz uncooked elbow macaroni (don't use the largest size!!)
1/4 cup margarine
1/2 cup grated parmeasan cheese (optional)
Combine all ingredients in 4 qt. slow cooker sprayed with non-stick cooking spray (or use a crock pot liner!!). Cook covered on HIGH 3 hours or until macaroni in tender. Stir well before serving. Makes about 6 servings.
