Using snowballed blocks you can get the same effect. Snowballs = a square (your blues and greens) with a smaller square (your whites) - sewn across the diagonal - on each corner.

I made squares in a square-- sort of like snowballs. Then, I sewed them together in a strip. They looked like they were on point, but really they weren't--but maybe actual snowballs would have been easier--

But I'm never mad (I think) if someone shows me a better/different way to do something. I'm always learning from many of you on this board. You are a wealth of information, Jan, and I'm always ready to improve/learn.
