One of the first quilts I made was for my sister. I quilted it by holding the edges, instead of using quilting gloves. This was before I knew about the gloves. I would lick my fingers to get a good grip... considered using a sponge like we used to do when we had a lot of stamps to lick. Remember those days? Anyway, I ended up with a huge pleat on the back in one of the corners. I made a big... ok, now I'm having a senior moment... you know, that piece of fabric that you write on to say who the quilt is for and who made it, etc..... Covered up that pleat very nicely! I have also gathered a couple edges, but luckily haven't had to do that in a long time. Maybe I'm getting better at this!
