Isn't it great to get a free machine??? Especially when they are pretty and working? Congratulations on your White Rotary, you'll love it.
I have a White Rotary that was a "portable" electric when it was given to me; a friend of a friend gave it to me. It was a family machine and had been in the house from the time it was bought in 1918. The lady wanted the machine to go to someone who would use it and As soon as I found a cabinet, it got a motorectomy and became a treadle again.
I've really enjoyed learning how to use it and am finding that its a lovely machine.
The first picture is when it was still an electric machine, second picture as a treadle. I'm much happier not having to lift 40 pounds of machine every time I wanted to sew with it.
