I never had the pleasure of learning quilting from family - or anyone else in a 'quilting' sense... I'm basically a 'book learner'. BUT - I have 4 quilts made by ancestors of different generations that I look at, now and then, and just *wonder* how they planned them, what they were made 'from' and if anyone else helped them. MaryC...could you start a new thread on the board and post pics of your 'antique' quilts please. I am sure we would all love to see them. Then we could 'wonder' right along with you. I still say..if quilts could talk..what stories they could tell!
