wavewatcher - we were almost neighbors, I used to live in West Hills, just a bit south of you. Been here 23 years and still miss the Valley. My daughter still lives in the LA area and she said it had been cold and rainy, and now the rain has moved here. Count me in the Wimp Group, I can't take the cold anymore either, still remember those awful winters in upstate New York.
