I have just the opposite thoughts about quilting magazines! I think the quilts showcased in most magazines are too MODERN / CONTEMPORARY (and so is most of the fabric at many quilt stores, in my area, anyway). I'm fairly new to quilting but find I love learning and using new, fast time saving techniques to make quilts that look like the ones my grandma made.
