For the other quilt, in order for it to come out even and I wanted to pull just a little bit of the off white out of the material, I added a 1 3/4" strip all around. Then for the blocks: fabric 1 - one 4" square, cut diagonal and two 2 x 4 3/4" strips. fabric 2 - one 4" square, cut diagonal and one 2 x 4 3/4" strip. Square up to 6 1/2" x 6 1/2".
